Your eyes are the thing that people notice more these days. Because we wear face masks, there is nothing else to notice except your eyes. Even on a night out, it is your eyes that draw you to other people. You can either be bold and make a statement or you can do your eyes in a subtle colour for a natural look. Your eyes are not just about eyeshadow, it is about pencils, mascaras and shadow.

Below are some steps to help you to apply your makeup in the right order, for the perfect look.
Cleanse Your Eyes
Make sure your eyes are clean. Gently wipe them over with a cleanser or some water and some cotton wool. Your skin around your eyes is very delicate, so you need to be very gentle to avoid pulling the skin and causing wrinkles.
Apply Eyeshadow
using an eyeshadow brush, sweep a light base colour across the whole of your eyelid. You can even use a powder compact if you want to. It will get covered over, so it doesn’t matter how light it is. Choose your main colour for your eyeshadow, but don’t choose a colour that’s too dark.
Along the crease of your eye socket, you need to sweep a line of colour that’s darker than your main colour. Then blend it in really well. I usually use an eyeliner brush to get a thin line across the eye socket. To make your eyebrows look higher than they are, use a light colour to highlight under the brows.
Add Eyeliner
If you are looking for a natural day look, use a lighter eyeliner or use a light eyeshadow and brush it along your bottom lashes. You can get different coloured eyeliner in liquids and a pencil, so you don’t need to apply a harsh dark colour throughout the day. Wearing black eyeliner at night gives a sexy sultry look.
Sort Your Lashes
If you are lucky enough to have perfectly curled lashes, then you are so lucky. If not, then there is always eyelash curlers. When you have done your eyes, then grab those curlers and clamp them onto the lashes. This helps to open your eyes, lengthen your lashes and curl them.
You can get so many different mascaras these days. But don’t always buy into the gimmick. You can get mascara in different shades of black, but black is black. As people get older they like brown mascara for a more natural look. There is no right or wrong with the colours that you choose. Some mascaras lengthen, some give volume but 9/10 it is actually the mascara brush that gives the lift and lengthens. So instead of spending loads of money on different mascaras that promise the world, just invest in mascara brushes.
Make sure you do not have too much mascara on your brush when you apply it. Then sweep the mascara wand across your top lashes, from root to tip. Then apply it on your bottom lashes. It is more tricky to apply mascara to your bottom lashes. But if you are wearing eyeliner, you can hide any mascara mistakes with it. If you move the lashes from side to side as you apply them, your lashes look longer.
Following these steps, you can have perfect eyes in minutes. It does take practice to get it right, but you will get there in the end.
